Five Ways to Gain Focus and Succeed at Achieving Your Goals

When faced with difficult tasks, we sometimes fail to focus, which ultimately keeps us from achieving our goals.

1 – Set a Goal. Make it clear to yourself exactly what you hope to achieve. Be as specific as you
possibly can be. This will help you stay focused on your goal. Don’t be vague and general, you will only give your mind a reason to procrastinate and not think of this goal as all important.

Article Marketing: A Method That Works

There are a thousand methods that we could use to grow our Varolo villages, but, we are limited by time and by just not being super human. I know I am not. So, I find that it's best to narrow things down to the few that work best for me. I love to write, so, I have found that article marketing is working better for me than placing classified ads.

So, how does article marketing work? The best thing to do is find a few content providers who will allow you to promote your online program; in this case, Varolo. Some of the ones I suggest are Associated Content by Yahoo, Triond, Helium, Bukisa, and there are number of others. Write informative pieces not just a 'here is my affiliate program, come and join it.' Those type of articles are a turn off to most readers; and admit it, just plain boring. Give your audience a reason to read the article. Answer a few questions, like, what can they expect from the program? How much money can be made? How much time does it take? Don't be afraid to be honest. I tell readers straight up-front that Varolo is NOT 'get rich quick' - it takes hard work. It's NOT a job, it's a business opportunity. Well, won't that run them off? Maybe, but, I would rather a villager not feel deceived after he joined and quit thinking that Varolo is a scam or gimmick.

After you give the readers something to think about, then, shoot your sign up link out there for them to sign up. Don't forget to offer your support after you have sign ups.

Check out a few of my articles below:

And the plus side of article marketing is that the content provider will allow you to submit your articles, then, turn around and pay you. The payouts are small, however, if you build up a portfolio of 50 or more articles, the small cents add up quickly with a little promoting. Make money writing articles.

Keeping Your Eye on the Prize

While we build our village, there is no monetary incentive to watch the ads. However, Varolo has put in place a few incentives that too many people are over looking.

1 - Each ad view brings one or more entries into the weekly jackpot. I have noticed that some ads bring more entries than others. Since I have been with Varolo no jackpot has been less than $350. I don't know the odds, but, I believe that the odds are greatly improved if 100% of the ads are viewed than if ads are not.

2 - Each ad view adds points to the user's account. These points can be redeemed for prizes. I personally have my eye on the $10 Walmart gift card, which requires 20,000 points and the Phillips 7" Portable DVD Player, which requires 118,000 points.

While I only have 14 cents in my vault, I have 5825 points and for this week, so far, I have 97 ad views, with 121 jackpot entries. I always make sure to watch 100% of my ads. My focus isn't the money, but, the intregrity of the task at hand. The main task, of course, is building a healthy and happy village who are willing to watch the ads and work at building a village of their own. When we work together, it's a win, win situation. Keep your eye on the prize and don't give up.

Creating Targeted Advertising Campaigns

To make your promotion of Varolo more effective, it is a good idea to create targeted campaigns. Most of the time, we send out promotions to a general public and hope that it reaches someone who is interested. However, if we create targeted campaigns, we can narrow the field and concentrate on a particular potential user. We can all agree that even at certain times of the day, our audience will change. Most working people review the job and business opportunities in the morning. However, a stay at home mom, may have the opportunity to check later in the day. While, teenagers and college students, because they are in classes during the day, may not read about these opportunities until late in the afternoon or evening.

Acknowledging these changes in the demographics helps us in how we place ads and what those ads will say. Let's say that I want to appeal to the teens and college students. This is the time of the year to do it. A lot of them are looking for something to do to make extra money or just to keep busy through the summer months. As promoters, it is our job to show them how signing with Varolo is not just a summer event, but, a way to create residual income that will take them throughout their school years and beyond.

The greatest appeal for a teen or college student is that this business opportunity is free to join. The time investment won't keep them from enjoying their summer activities and friends, and they will have the opportunity to win huge jackpots and prizes. How nice is that for summer adventure? This is also a way to stay connected with those classmates, who they may not see during the summer months, by getting them to join their village and keep in touch up by email, blogging and message boards.

Besides online classified ads, a great way to reach teens and college students is by promoting in the places that they hangout. Good places to hang flyers would be game rooms, mall bulletin boards, skating rinks, libraries, and campus bulletin boards. An offline place to promote is school newspapers, while promoting online with Myspace, Facebook and teen chat rooms. Of course, it is not wise to go onto high school property without permission, but, you could call the school's guidance counselors and let them pass the information to interested students. As always the Varolo opportunity has endless possibilities; the only limitation is imagination.
